Social and Location Tagging

This encompasses a lot of ideas we’ve had in Innovation Club brainstorming sessions and other discussions. Looks pretty interesting, advertising and offering products to users in a mall as they walk around for example:

10 Cool Location-Based Apps on Wired.com

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

Those who’ve attended Innovation Club sessions last year will find a number of these entries very familiar indeed.

A number of these apps are genuinely useful, but beg to be integrated into a more seamless experience (cab hailer into a map app perhaps, or training your phone to know it’s place woven into your profile settings)

From a technical standpoint, of interest is that a lot of these apps have been made for the Android platform, further underlining that an open platform helps to spawn innovative solutions..
